Everyone loves the movie UP, its so sweet and pure! This date includes a virtual book and adventure book! This is a date strictly for dating couples (or married couples too).

THE OVERVIEW FOR THE DATE

This date requires everyone to bring a few different items for the date so please make sure that you notify everyone at least a week in advance. This date is inspired by the relationship Ellie and Carl had and their dream to see the world. Our dream as disciples is to see the world evangelized and our partners in the gospel help us where need help. The scene that we will try to recreate is the picnic scene is the beginning of the film.

Your date should bring a blanket to sit on, a packed lunch, grape soda (or grape juice), and a single balloon. Please make sure to include these on your invitation.

THE OVERVIEW FOR THE DATE

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 NIV)

Begin your date promptly at the start time and allow at least 15 minutes for adjusting and technical difficulties. Once everything is settled and everyone is caught up, you can then start your kingdom date with a prayer led by one of the brothers and then begin with this scripture.

This is a beautiful love story and not only are we in love with Ellie and Carl, but in many ways, Carl's love for Ellie inspires him to travel across the globe to make their dreams a reality. Paradise Falls may very well be the "ends of the earth" and like our relationship with God, we are compelled to see God's dream fulfilled in this generation.

Syncing movies to the exact time is a bit tedious and can take up a lot of time. I would just start playing near the same time. For the sake of the activity and time, play the movie on low volume and watch it as a background movie.

With all the items with you, everyone will sit on the floor and enjoy the movie as they eat and fill out the Adventure Book activity book. Feel free to bring everyone's attention to the movie at your favorite scenes and share about the moments you are reflecting on in the packet. This is meant to remind you of the beauty of your relationship and glorify God through the purity of your relationship as well. Be grateful for the building process and the big milestones you shared together when you held hands for the first time.

All of the elements of the date are meant to be incorporated into the date to remind us of the film but also to share our dreams with the world! The single balloon you brought to the date will be used at the very end of the date, once the film is over. After the movie ends we will take the balloon and write a prayer to God about your dreams and we will all send them up into the sky. (Followed by an apology to the fish in the ocean we killed.)
