OPEN WHEN DATE

This is a super cute date idea for couples to share some letters to each other during this quarantine. We aren't able to see each other as regularly as we used to except for meetings of the body, so this is a great way to receive some future encouragement from your boyfriend or girlfriend!

THE OVERVIEW OF THE DATE

Before the date, create a group text with all the couples on the date confirming the date and time for your kingdom date. Send a cute invitation to your date and remind them to bring the printed materials with envelopes ready to mail or deliver.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Cor. 4:16-18 NIV)

Begin your date promptly at the start time and allow at least 15 minutes for adjusting and technical difficulties. Once everything is settled and everyone is caught up, you can then start your kingdom date with a prayer led by one of the brothers and then begin with this scripture. Encourage one another that we must continue to stay spiritual and sane during this pandemic. God is revealing our hearts and causing the world to look towards Him! As a couple, we should encourage each other to be God-focused.

Please make sure to wash your hands thoroughly before beginning the date and gathering the supplies, since we will be exchanging these letters to each other. Once your hands are clean, put some background music on, get your pens out, and begin to write. Be spiritual and encouraging! During this pandemic, encourage your date to be outwardly focused! Include a letter that says "Open When You Are Fruitful". It will help inspire them to be in more Bible studies and finally open that card!

To end the date you can either agree to mail it to each other of the drive is too far or you can't go outdoors for medical reasons OR drop off the letters and save some money on the postage. In any case, you must be careful to take proper precautions when exchanging the letters to avoid any cross contamination.
