Victor personally asked me to post this date because it was one of his favorites he planned when we dated long distance! He did a really great job planning it as well!
THE OVERVIEW OF THE DATE
Before the date, create a group text with all the disciples. Provide a creative invitation including the date and time. Preferably, have each date send their date the invitation; however, sending it to the group would still be encouraging. Canva offers free and beautiful designs you could work with for your invitations! This is the invitation we used for our date:
Begin your date promptly at the start time and allow at least 15 minutes for adjusting and technical difficulties. Once everything is settled and everyone is caught up, you can then start your kingdom date with a prayer led by one of the brothers and then begin with this scripture.
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:16-17 NIV)
I love this scripture because it shows that we are also super heroes of faith! The Word of God is a sword and the power of our testimony is also our shield! These are two of the more essential weapons to help us in our walk with God, the Bible and our testimony! For this activity, we will create large comic strips of our discipleship. We will highlight the moments that impacted us in our walk with God that have helped us stay faithful.

I looked in the archives for this picture but this is the comic strip we made many eons ago. We had such a blast and I believe we were required to buy Starbucks specifically and Victor Venmo-ed me for the drink. Feel free to deliver some food to your date through Postmates or Uber Eats if you would like to as well. Prices may vary depending on where you are but bringing snacks to the date is just as encouraging!
